Comfort and confidence

JB has been a media trainer since 2006 – working with diverse communities at Australia’s first community radio station Radio Adelaide. He then became the Education and Training Manager at SYN Media – providing training and media experiences for over 4000 young people a year.

In the years since, he has trained lawyers, financial counsellors, scientists, CEOs, policy experts, journalists and more. He’s also been an expert spokesperson himself – appearing on almost every major Australian media outlet as the spokesperson for consumer advocacy group CHOICE.

JB particularly loves to work with technical experts, people who are shy and people who are underrepresented in the media.

Media training for groups

JB can tailor media training for groups big and small. Training is practical (getting on camera and in front of the microphone) and collaborative.

Highly tailored to the needs of each group.

Includes:

  • Learning how to write “media lines”
  • Tips and tricks for presenting on camera and on mic.
  • Advice on how to relax and feel comfortable in a media environment.
  • On-on-one and supportive group feedback.
